Paperback Swap is a great site which helps you trade your used books for someone elses.
It works like this. First, register an account at Paperback Swap.
Second, post 10 books you have lying around the house and want to get rid of. After you post 10 books you will have 2 credits.
Use your credits to request a book from someone else.
Once someone requests a book from you, you then need to ship it to them using Media Mail. It is very easy to do and PBS (Paperback Swap) walks you through the whole process.
I recommend buying their delivery confirmation, for less then 25 cents. I have had 2 books go lost the first one didn’t have PBS delivery confirmation so I was out the book and the postage. The second time I had delivery confirmation and while the book was lost I still got my credit since PBS knew I had shipped it.
I also recommend that if you have a lot of books you want to list don’t list them all at once. If you list 100 books and have 10-20 requests, that is a lot of packages to put together all at once. If you are up to the task then by all means, but trust me if you are busy you might want to only post 10-20 a week.
